The
teachings of the Bible have been ammended and updated several
times throughout the course of many thousands of years. The original
teachings however, were taught to students and teachers who had taken
this wise knowledge and turned it into a world wide religion, hence,
Christianity was born.
These teachings were never intended to
become an orthodox belief system solely belonging to a group or
community of followers of Christianity.
The Bible
contains powerful knowledge concerning spiritual growth and metaphysics
and how human beings are to progress in
their spiritual journey and how they are intended to live their lives.
This wisdom was given by the Master known as Jesus The Christ and is
mentioned several times throughout the Bible.
Jesus,
although a mere mortal, had tremendous power and knowledge. His message
to us was that we too, have the same knowledge and power if only we
were to recognise it. Not only were we equals but we could even do more
and better than what Jesus was capable of.
The Bible
contains many verses whereby Jesus conveys many times that he is not a
God nor was he above and beyond the rest of us. The teachings
of
the Bible have been misunderstood and re-interpreted by leaders of
Chrisitanity and given a wrongful meaning to them.
There
are many passages which have been distorted and the meaning of them
completely incorrect. Hinduism
teaches the same principles as were
outlined by Jesus. Here are some powerful quotes from the Bible and
the true meanings behind them.
"And Jesus said
unto them ... , "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard
seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place;
and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you."
If you have
faith that you can move the mountain then the mountain will be moved.
Faith has the power make nothing impossible to you.
"Blessed are
the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".
Blessed
are those who have rid themselves of the craving of material
possession and the need to conform to the expectations and demands of
others. They shall find the inner path back to Source on the
path to Divine Perfection and unimaginable glories
far beyond anything Earth has to offer.
"And when
thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are:
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of
the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They
have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet,
and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in
secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they
think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye
therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have
need of, before ye ask him."
It
is hypocritical to stand in a place of worship or in any location and
pray for the sake of it or
in the hope of gaining some favours from a benevolent God. But when you
pray, enter into your inner silence and
shut out all awareness of the physical surroundings, similar to a
meditative state, connecting yourself with your unconscious which is
connected to God. But do not repeat mere meaningless words known as
'prayer' the universe does not hear words, only thoughts so God already
knows what you desire even before you ask.
"Believest
thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?
the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father
that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the
Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works'
sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he
do; because I go unto my Father."
The
'Father' resides in me and it is 'he' who does the work through me.
Believe that the 'Father resides in you and you shall do greater works
than even me.
"Therefore I say unto you, What
things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them,
and ye shall have them."
Whatever you desire believe
firstly that you have already recieved them and you shall have them.
"Blessed
are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth".
Blessed
are those who are spiritually aware, who understand the true nature of
the universe for they shall inherit the abundance of the Earth.
"And seek
not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither
be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the
world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these
things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things
shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your
Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom"
Do not seek the material
possessions and with a mind full of doubt. Your 'Father' knows the
things of which you are in need.
But rather know that the 'Kingdom' of God is within you and there is
your source of supply, for only then will you, with pleasure, be
granted the 'Kingdom.'
"Blessed
is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is."
Blessed is the person who has
trust in the the 'Lord,' meaning the unconscious mind.
"He
that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall
flourish as a branch."
The
person that trusts in their material possessions alone will fall but
the person of good conduct or 'right thinking' will blossom.
